Monitoring SGS's microbiological laboratory and transporation vehicles

In The Netherlands SGS decided to implement SmartView for real-time monitoring of its food laboraty and transporation vehicles in The Netherlands.

SmartView Implemenation

The SGS microbiological testing aboratory in Spijkenisse, The Netherlands, provides a range of services to analyze the safety of food products, for example to examine the risk of contamination. Real-time temperature monitoring accross a variety of temperature conditions is critical for SGS to ensure the quality of its services. Therefore the SGS laboratory in Spijkenisse implemented SmartView to monitor its temperature-controlled storage facilties.

After the successful implementation at the microbiological laboratory, SGS decided to expand the use of the SmartView application with real-time monitoring of transporation vehicles. Vehicles are equipped with GPS/GPRS sensors, to provide real-time visibility on the condition and location of its fleet of vehicles.
